Prof. Dangla is a research scientist, Laboratoire Navier, IFSTTAR, Marne-la-Vallée.
Prof. Dangla is interested in the modeling of various aspects of mechanical and physicochemical behavior of heterogeneous porous materials. From a fundamental aspect he uses the thermodynamics of continuous media to model the constitutive behavior of porous materials. He implements these models in a numerical code that he has developed for many years. He uses this code to simulate some experiments involving transfers of matter, chemistry and mechanics. These simulations serve to interpret the experiments or predict the long-term behavior of existing or new materials.
